Heal Heal Little Frog's Butt

I know, it's been awhile since I've blogged.  I've had every intention, but I start to come up with a topic and before I can log into the new blogger site, I realize that my idea could probably have been a tweet instead.  I'm going to throw all of that out the window and just type.  Whether I end up with 5000 words, or only 140, I am going to make an effort . . . again!

This past weekend was one for the books.  It was a whirlwind Bay Area Trip!  I was lucky enough to be able to see all three of my beautiful Godchildren.  If we weren't playing with maracas, then it was with a jelly ball that lights up or just finding distraction in trying to wave to daddy or Uncle Dan as they were baptizing one of my Godsons' brother.  There were a lot of "shhhhhhhh, you have to whispers" going on, but that was complemented by just the same amount of laughs throughout the day.

There were a lot of things going on in and around the Church, but the one theme that I kept seeing throughout the weekend, was "love."  Whether it be love for the weather (it was PERFECT that weekend), love for the company we kept (leave it to some Bruins to be able to compare and contrast late 90's Westwood with present-day Westwood while being able to read about Clifford and his Easter antics), or just love for each other (Timmy, comin' in hot to give Christopher a hug, aannnnnnnnnd tackles him).  After a second or two of a pouty lip, Christopher was running around the Stanford planters, looking for his dropped snack and finding an empty bottle of $2 Buck Chuck!  Go Cardinal!

If I learned anything this weekend, it was taught to me by a few almost-three year olds.  Life is a game and should always be fun.  There are times when you are knocked down, but nothing that a little "sana sana colita de rana's" can fix (look THAT one up if you don't know that little saying).  You can be going through a lot, but that is often trumped by a laugh, a smile, or the ability to do something fun over again.

It may be awhile until I see all of those people in the same place again, but there are talks of having something, soon.  My hope is that the length of time goes by quickly and we'll be able to do this more often.  Until then, I'm thinking up of more fun stories and hi-fives and letting life just be.

Back on the blog wagon,
Vince
